The Fantasy Back-Alley-Business Board Game

You lead a guild striving to dominate the market for illegal goods in the Sprawl, a city rich in history and lawlessness.

Recruit and task a mob of agents, racketeers, ring leaders, spymasters, wizards and others to build your reputation by selling your goods and causing chaos for your rivals. Through a light deck building mechanism, you attempt to create the strongest network of agents and the most desirable black market goods. Winners and losers are determined by a fun, yet sophisticated, supply & demand mechanic.

Gameplay deck building graphic. In Plunderbund, you play the role of a Guild Leader attempting to become the boss of bosses and rule the black market in the Sprawl. At the start of the game, your guild is represented by eight starting player cards: Thug, Craftsman, Guild Leader, City Guard, Thief, Copper Pincher, Mad Scientist, and Footpad.

The Favor card reads “When put into play from Draw Pile, Return to Favor Pile. -1 Reputation at the end of game. But don’t worry, a favor is only and opportunity cost in a future round of game play… unless you never pay back the favor and then it costs you reputation.

But you can’t win a sales competition and earn reputation unless you have black market goods, your engine building drives up the number of black market good you earn each season.

And then the day of reckoning comes and it is time to pay the price for not paying back all your favors as your guild loses on reputation point for every favor they failed to pay back. The player with the highest reputation score at the end of the game wins Plunderbund, the title of Bos of Bosses, and wins the soul stone.
